VDA Trailblazer Employers Steering Group meeting on Tuesday 10th October at ITAS, Milton Keynes
The VDA steering group meeting will be an opportunity to bring everyone together to review the current version of the VDA standard to discuss any required amendments/additions and to set out timescales for:
- finalising VDA standard
- gaining approval for new standard
- development of assessment plan
- discussion/agreement of maximum funding band
- AutoRaise will provide an industry update following this important meeting
2017 bodyshop Magazine event raises almost £5,000 for AutoRaise and Ben!
AutoRaise took a stand at the 21st Bodyshop Magazine event in Birmingham last month - answering questions on apprentice-related issues, sharing handy guides to the AutoRaise Multi-Skilled Apprentice Standard, and supporting our Partners and the brilliant work they do to promote this fantastic industry to young people. In the evening, we celebrated the best in the business at the 2017 Bodyshop Magazine Awards.
We were proud to watch as Stefano La Greca from Edinburgh College, who works at DSL Autos, was named Paint Apprentice of the Year, and Harry Holliman from Solus Luton collected the Panel Apprentice of the Year Award.
Congratulations to S&B Automotive Academy - who won the Education Award - and Fix Auto UK, winners of the Training Award.
LV=, an AutoRaise Platinum Partner, received the Insurance Company of the Year Award.

"Momentous" day for Gemini bodyshop apprentices at Emtec
September marked a significant milestone reached for AutoRaise as the first cohort of Gemini apprentices took their initial steps into the bodyshop industry at Emtec College.
Thirteen starters, the first in a group of 40 apprentices taken on by Gemini, were supported by parents at their first day attending Emtec, part of Nottingham College.
Each apprentice has been provided with branded workwear (complete with an AutoRaise logo), a branded backpack, an android tablet for them to complete and store all of their coursework on and a green Gemini Green toolbox with a starter toolkit. They are also automatically enrolled in to the company health scheme, have access to the ride-to-work initiative, introductory moped lessons and assistance with driving lessons at the appropriate time.
