After a landmark first year, AutoRaise are looking to sustain their development and prepare for more growth by inviting applicants to become members of the Board of Trustees.
The Vehicle Repair industry charity were incorporated by the Charities Commission in November 2016 and have steadily built engagement with stakeholders across the whole of the industry. With an enviable group of Platinum Partners, supported by other forward-thinking businesses who have joined in either Gold, Silver or Bronze category, AutoRaise has proved itself as a pioneering and sustainable organisation.
Many Vehicle Repairers are already working with the charity, seeking help and support to attract and recruit local young people in to an industry apprenticeship. It is envisaged that a significant percentage of Repairers will become Affiliated to AutoRaise during 2018, working together to find more young people and partnering with training providers to help solve their own skills issues.
With their government funding band challenge set to conclude over the next few weeks, AutoRaise will be formalising arrangements with those many training providers who are committed to deliver the Multi-skilled apprenticeship programme.
With so much activity planned, the current Board of Trustees are looking to appoint other like-minded people who are prepared to give their support, experience and a little time to help ensure the charity continues on a true path and upholds its constitution.
The Board will consider all applications and as well as Vehicle Repair industry stakeholders, are particularly keen to seek experienced professionals from the worlds of Recruitment, Career Advice and senior management/principals from the Further Education sector. We would also welcome applicants with experience of Fundraising on behalf of charitable organisations.
Given AutoRaise’ need to act with total impartiality within its operational activities, we may need to decline some applications due to potential conflicts of interest but will address these on an individual basis
Interested parties are invited to email their interest and a brief resume to the charity’s CEO, Bob Linwood. All applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence. Closing date for applications is 28th February 2018.
