Kelly Dalwood appointed to AutoRaise communications role

Newly created post is the latest appointment to the growing AutoRaise team. The vehicle repair industry charity has appointed Kelly Dalwood to the post of AutoRaise Communications to develop and deliver the charity's news and activities.

Following the official launch of AutoRaise in December industry-wide interest and support has been incredible, with several repairers hosting successful Industry Showcase Events and tickets to the major new fundraiser – the AutoRaise Industry Summer Ball, in June – selling fast.

With the infamous REAL Rally in May, this year in partnership with AutoRaise to raise funds to help the industry address its chronic shortage, and the funding and structure of apprenticeships dominating the headlines ahead of April’s new apprenticeship levy, communicating the AutoRaise message effectively is a priority.

Kelly has worked in the vehicle repair industry for 12 years, previously as editor of bodyshop magazine, and currently as freelance news editor at ABP Club. Her knowledge of and experience in the market will ensure our Affiliated Repairers and Partners, the supply chain and young people are engaged with AutoRaise – together, committed to reversing the skills shortage.

“We are delighted to have secured the services of Kelly to help deliver our communication strategy,” said Bob Linwood, Chief Executive Officer, AutoRaise. “Her knowledge and pedigree in the industry are beyond question and we are very pleased to welcome her to the growing AutoRaise team.”

It’s essential that the industry gets behind addressing the skills shortage, whether it be taking on new apprentices, hosting Industry Showcase Events or simply helping to spread the word.
