Gemini ARC reach the finals for AM Awards

Gemini ARC, the UK's largest independent bodyshop group and an AutoRaise Affiliated Repairer, has reached the finals in this year's AM Awards! The repair group is a finalist in the 'Apprenticeship Programme of the Year' category – a brand new award for this year.

The award is “open to the automotive businesses which develop their workforce for the future, whether recruiting new starter apprentices or encouraging existing employees onto apprenticeships for higher level qualifications”.

The winner will be announced at the AM Awards on Wednesday 8th September at the ICC in Birmingham.

John Henderson, Technical Training & Development Manager at Gemini ARC, who was part of the Gemini team instrumental in developing the AutoRaise Multi Skilled Apprenticeship Standard, thanked the Gemini team and said: “Congratulations to other Finalists in this category and roll on September!”

In the repair industry the Gemini name is synonymous with apprentices and the Group has long championed the importance of need for investment in and support of apprenticeships. Gemini has received significant recognition for apprentice development. Matthew Turner, Accident Repair Technician at Gemini Accident Repair Centres’ Rotherham site, was regional winner of The Lloyds Banking Group Award for Rising Star of the Year 2019, and Libby Price, a Multi Skilled Apprentice at Gemini Tewkesbury, won the WorldSkills Diversity Hero Role Model Award

In October 2020, Gemini was named one of the ‘Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers’.

Dave Sargeant, Gemini ARC Managing Director and AutoRaise Chairman, said:

“I am so very proud of what we have achieved in the last four years encouraging young people into the industry through AutoRaise and making the Gemini apprentice programme the very best in support and care for them.”
