We’re excited to highlight a fantastic hands-on learning initiative from our partners at Vella Group! Recently, a team of second-year apprentices took on a unique respray challenge at Vella’s Skelmersdale site.
Over the course of three days, these dedicated apprentices worked together to repair and respray a vehicle, gaining invaluable experience in seeing a repair job through from start to finish.
Under the guidance of their tutor from Blackpool and The Fylde College and Vella’s Technical Training Manager, Allan Wareing, the apprentices practiced essential skills, honed their painting techniques, and learned the importance of collaboration in a real-world setting.
This challenge not only provided a boost to their confidence but also gave them the chance to sharpen their expertise in a supportive and educational environment. It’s initiatives like these that help apprentices take significant strides forward in their training, preparing them for a successful future in the industry.
