How We Use Funds
As a charity, our sole focus is to address the skills shortage by championing apprenticeships and supporting both young people and employers in creating sustainable careers.
How We Use Funds
Here’s how your contributions help us make a difference:
01
Promoting Apprenticeships
Career Awareness Events: We attend school job fairs, community-led initiatives, and large-scale events like WorldSkills to showcase the vehicle repair industry as a viable and exciting career choice.
Engaging with Young People: Through the AutoRaise Cadet programme, we connect with aspiring apprentices and guide them through the pre-employment phase, from assessing their readiness to introducing them to potential employers.
02
Providing Employer Support
Affiliated Repairers Programme: We work closely with repairers to address their skills needs, offering guidance on recruitment, training, and apprentice retention.
Training Provider Partnerships: We bridge the gap between repairers and training providers, ensuring apprentices receive high-quality technical education tailored to the industry’s demands.
03
Building a Strong Industry Network
Stakeholder Engagement: We collaborate with insurers, work providers, and supply chain businesses to grow apprenticeship opportunities and secure funding.
Apprenticeship Levy: We facilitate the transfer of unspent levy funds from large companies to smaller repairers, helping cover training costs.
04
Apprentice Retention and Success
AutoRaise Academy: We provide apprentices with ongoing support and resources, including mentorship programmes and opportunities to showcase their skills through awards and events.
Mentorship Training: We equip repairers with tools to create effective mentorship programmes, ensuring apprentices have the guidance they need to thrive.
05
Raising Industry Standards
Development of Apprenticeship Standards: AutoRaise has been instrumental in crafting and updating the Accident Repair Technician (ART) and Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) Standards, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the industry.
