AutoRaise Announces Hire of First Remote-Working Business Executive

AutoRaise, the vehicle repair industry charity is pleased to announce the appointment of industry professional, Jennifer Evans, as its new Business Executive to our CEO, Bob Linwood.

Jennifer will be the organisation’s first remote-working team member as of March 2nd 2020. Jennifer brings with her a wealth of experience to her new role. She has worked with small businesses and regional trade associations in British Columbia, Canada and England playing an integral part in raising their profile thanks to her many years of organisational expertise. Jennifer has lived, worked and studied throughout Europe and North America and is now back home in the UK.
Jennifer spent time within the education sector, teaching French and Spanish in primary and secondary schools. It was during this time she drew the conclusion that a, ‘one size fits all’ approach to education does not always work. “Not all children want to go to university or college, and I would always encourage students to explore the route of apprenticeships. I then saw the job opportunity to work with a forward thinking, innovative organisation, AutoRaise and the rest, they say, is history.” Jennifer goes on to say, ” I am thrilled by the opportunity to work as part of the team at AutoRaise and hope that with my energy and enthusiasm, I can do my part in assisting the CEO and the AutoRaise team to secure the future of the automotive industry whilst being Bob’s indispensable assistant. I can appreciate the shortage of skilled workers and firmly support all the organisation’s efforts to alleviate this issue. “AutoRaise CEO Bob Linwood explains “This is a unique role and we needed to find a unique individual, someone who demonstrated passion for our industry and its need to invest in young people but also, someone who had that perfect blend of administration, marketing, creative writing, social media and organisational experience and flair. Jen demonstrated all of these qualities throughout an exhaustive recruitment campaign and I’m delighted to welcome on board as part of the AutoRaise team alongside Indra and myself”.
Jennifer continues, “Apprentices and trainees are at the core of the industry’s future and by equipping them with the skills they need now, they will be well placed to meet the growing demands of the automotive sector.” Jennifer plans to be both proactive and visible at industry related events and will bring her exceptional organisational skills to best serve the AutoRaise team.” Jennifer can be contacted at jen.evans@autoraise.co.uk or by telephone on 0845 644 0339.
